Bayswater is seeing an emergence of F&B outlets and Tbsp is by far leading the charge. Tbsp is located in a row of shophouses at 10 King Williams Street, a great little spot with ample parking all around. Rob, Han Li and Han Ji were the crew behind the old Smuggled Seeds in Leederville and their experience in F&B definitely shows.
The Café has a somewhat Nordic feel to it. Classic clean lines, polished concrete floors, comfortable wooden chairs and tables, a beautiful wood counter with a matt black 3 group Synesso Hydra taking centrepiece on it.

The food menu here at Tbsp is spectacular. Offering creative dishes with a subtle Asian twist. From the amazing Brisket Benedict, hearty slow-cooked beef brisket on sourdough, topped with sous vide eggs and lashings of hollandaise, to the congee with confit chicken and chicken crackling and the incredulous house-made donuts filled with salted egg yolk custard, there really isn’t anything that isn’t good on the menu.

The Barista team at Tbsp are pretty much top notch. Rob, Adam and Tom have been serving up great milk-based coffees with Blacklist’s Etude blend which comprises of Kenya and Brazil beans. Their take on the Etude accentuates the chocolate and cocoa flavours in the blend which in milk just sings! Twin Marco SP-9s take the hardwork and inconsistency out of making filter coffee and serves up great filters.
I highly recommend a visit to Tbsp for a good meal and great coffee! Bayswater is on the up!
